The geological resources at Tyub-Karagan are 388 million tonnes of fuel equivalent, including 324 million tonnes of oil. The Tyub-Karagan has an area of 1,168 square km.
The Tyub-Karagan structure is being developed in accordance with the terms and conditions of a Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) which was concluded for 40 years by Lukoil and KazMunayGas in 2004. In accordance with the contracts, all expenses associated with the exploration activities at the Atash and Tyub-Karagan blocks will be covered by Lukoil Overseas Holding Ltd.
