Project Profile
Estimated Value: US$200 million
Location: Outer Moray Firth in Kopervik sand fairway, between Goldeneye and Brodgar fields, Central North Sea, UK
Reserves: 215 billion cubic feet of gas and 7.8 million barrels of condensate
Start-up Year: 2013
The Rochelle oil field lies in the Outer Moray Firth in the prolific Kopervik sand fairway between the Goldeneye and Brodgar producing fields. The Greater Rochelle area is comprised of three blocks in the North Sea - 15/26b, 15/26c and 15/27. The development consists of two two subsea production wells at the East and West Rochelle fields. A 38 kilometre Rochelle pipeline system connects East and West Rochelle.
The East Rochelle Field project involves two phases. Phase I of the project will see the development of the East Rochelle field. The field development will involve the drilling of up to two production wells and the installation of subsea infrastructure, including a production manifold, a 30 km production flowline to transport reservoir fluids to the Scott Platform and a control and chemical umbilical. The field has a maximum estimated recovery of 215 billion cubic feet of gas and 7.8 million barrels of condensate. The second phase will see the development of the West Rochelle field, which was discovered in October 2010.
