The Lupin prospect is located in Production License 360 in the central North Sea. Statoil operates the license with a 50% stake; Dong holds 20%t; Noreco holds 15%; and Wintershall holds the remaining 15%.
The gas prospect is considered a large fault bound structure in the Ling Graben area with the targeted reservoir being the Rotliegendes sands. If drilling is successful, this prospect will open a new frontier play.
