The West Franklin development will tie in to the existing Franklin Platform. The West Franklin satellite field was discovered by the 29/5b-F7z HPHT well drilled from the Franklin platform in July 2003. West Franklin is a satellite discovery off the Elgin Franklin complex. The West Franklin is believed to host 250 million BOE of potential resources. West Franklin’s downhole conditions are extreme with pressures of up to 1150 bar and temperatures reaching 212 degrees Celsius. West Franklin Phase 2 will be developed using a new wellhead platform on Elgin with bridge linked to the existing facility.
