The Katla is located in a water depth of 312 feet (95 meters) in Production License 104 is the Katla prospect in the Norwegian North Sea. Operating the license is Statoil, holding a 49.30% interest; Petoro AS holds 33.60%; Total holds 10%; ExxonMobil holds 4.70%; and ConocoPhillips holds the remaining 2.40% interest.
The find will be tied-back to the Oseberg Center with first production commencing by the end of 2010 or early 2011.
