The well is the first exploration well in Production Licence 380. The licence was awarded January 6 2006 after the 2005 APA round. The well was drilled to a vertical depth of 2972m below sea-level and was terminated inside the Ile Formation of Middle Jurassic age. The water depth at the well location was 269 metres. The well will be permanently plugged and abandoned.
