The Maersk Deliverer is the third in a series of three state-of-the-art newbuild ultra deepwater development semi-submersibles in Maersk Drilling’s fleet and is capable of drilling in water depths of up to 3,000 metres. Mærsk Deliverer has since 2012 been working for Chevron and its partners on the Tombua Landana field offshore Angola. Since April 2016, Maersk Deliverer has been warm stacked in Namibia, following an early termination of its drilling contract with Chevron. The reactivation of the rig has already started, and the main work scopes will be carried out during its voyage to Malaysia.
