The Paju LNG Power Plant is located in Paju city in Gyeonggi Province, Korea. Paju LNG Power Plant is a power plant with generation capacity of 1,800 MW. It commenced construction in April 2014, and began commercial operation on 1 February 2017. The plant uses directly-imported US LNG to produce high-quality electricity. The facility is consisting of two 900 MW units, four gas turbines capacity of 580MW, two steam turbine capacity of 320 MW and four heat recovery steam generators. The power plant is operated by Paju Energy Service, which is wholly-owned by SK E&S. The plant represents 2% of South Korea’s total generation capacity of 100 gigawatts.
