The Nagapattinam refinery is located in India, in the town of Nagapattinam. The refinery is designed to process the local crude from the Narimanam Oil Field. Indian Oil plans to invest US$6 billion on expanding the Nagapattinam refinery from 20,000 bpd to 300,000 bpd.
Indian Government\'s plans to merge CPCL with parent Indian Oil could delay the project as no decision has been made over what to do regarding National Iranian Oil Co\'s 15.4% holding in CPCL.
