The Aktas Oil Field is located in Mangystau Province, Kazakhstan. It was discovered in 1997 and developed by Petrom. The oil field is operated and owned by Petrom. The total proven reserves of the Aktas oil field are around 42 million barrels (5.7×106tonnes), and production is centred on 1,000 barrels per day (160 m3/d).

In 2008 Bornemann delivered two Multiphase Pumps which were installed in the Aktas Oil Field in the Mangistau Region. The pumps were designed and manufactured to boost an oil, gas and water mixture into the Aktas-Tasbulat multiphase pipeline. The two Multiphase pumps operate in parallel. Within one year the production increased for 86 % with effect of multiphase pumps.
