The Weizhou 6-9/6-10 oilfield is located in Beibu Gulf Basin of the South China Sea with an average water depth of approximately 35 metres. The Weizhou 6-9/6-10 is a part of a comprehensive adjustment project in the region. The development and production operations of this oil field primarily rely on the facilities of its surrounding oil fields. The Weizhou 6-9/6-10 oilfield includes 9 producing wells. In order to fully utilize the existing facilities of Weizhou 6-9/6-10, the comprehensive adjustment project has also built one wellhead platform.
There is currently one producing well producing approximately 850 barrels of crude oil per day. The adjustment project is expected to reach its ODP designed peak production of approximately 3,800 barrels of crude oil per day in 2018.
CNOOC Limited commenced production from the Weizhou 6-9/6-10 in September 2016.
