The Block SK410B is located in shallow water offshore Sarawak with the acreages of approximately 1,800 square kilometres. On 21 July 2016, the consortium consisting of Thai PTTEP, Kuwait’s KUFPEC and Petronas Carigali SDN. BHD. (PSCB) signed a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with Malaysia’s Petronas for exploration and production rights of block SK-410B. Under the terms of the PSC, PTTEP will operate the block with participating interest of 42.5%, KUFPEC with 42.5% and Petronas Carigali with 15% interest.
The parties are committed to carrying out exploration activities that include acquiring and processing new 3D seismic data, reprocessing exiting 3D seismic data and drilling 1 exploration wildcat well. The seismic survey and one exploration well will be conducted for the three-year exploration period.
