The B15 Gas Field which was discovered in December 2010 is located within the SK310 PSC area, offshore East Malaysia. Block SK310, which has three fields (B15, B14 and B17) is located in water depths of between 50 and 100 metres in the Central Luconia Province and covers an area of about 3.460 square kilometres.
SapuraKencana Energy\'s (SKE) field development plan (FDP) is approved by Petroliam Nasional (Petronas). This is the company\'s first upstream gas development project in the country.
The development will comprise a central processing platform with a 35km gas evacuation pipeline to be tied into the existing infrastructure. The B15 gas field is expected to produce 100 MMscfd (million standard cubic feet per day) of hydrocarbon gas for Petronas’ Malaysia Liquefied Natural Gas (MLNG) complex in Bintulu, Sarawak. The first gas delivery is targeted to be in the fourth quarter of 2017.
SapuraKencana Petroleum has signed the SK310 gas sales agreement between Petronas as gas buyer and the SK310 Production Sharing Contract (PSC) contractors as joint sellers. (June, 2016)
