The Fujian LNG Terminal is located in the city of Putian in southeast China. The terminal includes four LNG storage tanks with the capacity to store 160,000 cbm of the chilled gas each. Overall the Fujian LNG project is composed of the 2.6 million ton/annum LNG terminal, the trunkline project, three gas-fired power plant projects and 5 city (Fuzhou, Putian, Quanzhou, Xiamen and Zhangzhou) distribution projects. In January 2009, a contractor CB&I was selected for the engineering, procurement and construction of two 160,000 cubic metre full containment LNG storage tanks at the facility.
