The Guangxi Regasification Terminal is located at Beihai City in China’s province of Guangxi. The project has a designed LNG-receiving capacity of 3 million tonnes/year, will supply 22 million families in China’s southwest provinces of Guangxi and western Guangdong with an equivalent of 4 billion cu m/year of gas. The terminal will receive its LNG supplies predominantly from APLNG as part of a long-term supply arrangement between APLNG and Sinopec under which China’s state-owned operator has agreed to purchase 7.6 million tpy of LNG for 20 years.

Sinopec entered the terminal into commercial operation on Apr 19th 2016 after reception of its first 160,000-cu m delivery of LNG from Australia Pacific LNG Pty. Ltd.\'s (APLNG) coalseam gas-to-LNG (CSG-LNG) project on Curtis Island near Gladstone on the central east coast of Queensland.
