The long Sabah Sarawak Gas Pipeline, measuring 312 miles (503 kilometres), is a network of onshore pipeline that link Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal (SOGT) in Kimanis, Sabah and the PETRonAS LNG Complex in Bintulu, Sarawak. The 503 km, 36 inch diameter pipeline will transport the 750 MMcf/d of gas from the SOGT to the Petronas LNG Complex at Bintulu, Sarawak. The pipeline system also has provisions for future domestic consumption in Sabah and Sarawak. It was constructed using API 5L X70 steel grade pipe, with a thickness range of 14, 17, and 20 mm, and had a design pressure of 96 bar. PETRonAS Gas Berhad (PGB) is the operator of the project with 100% interest, (PGB is a unit of Malaysia\'s national oil company Petroliam Nasional Berhad, PETRONAS).

Contractors:

PBJV Group Sdn Bhd (subsidiary of Barakah Offshore Petroleum Berhad): Under the 2-year contract from Dec. 1, 2015 - Nov. 30, 2017 PBJV will inspect, test, repair and maintain the pipes and related infrastructures to maintain the pipeline integrity.
