Project Profile
Location: South Western Graben, Gulf of Thailand
Reserves: 25 MMbo
Relinquishment year: 2016
The Parichat complex is a cluster of four fault blocks located 30 km south of the Bualuang field in block G4/50. Each fault block has multiple stacked, Miocene and Oligocene reservoir targets. The south west fault block is the initial target with a mean prospective resource of 25 MMbo. The G4/50-11 wildcat exploration well is located in the South Western Graben of the Gulf of Thailand. The well was the second in Ophir’s 2015 exploration drilling programme in the G4/50 licence and targeted the Parichat Southwest prospect. The G4/50-11 well reached a total depth of 2,830 metres (True Vertical Depth Sub-Sea) and encountered oil in both the primary Oligocene and secondary Miocene reservoir targets.
