Onshore Block EP-2 covers an area of 519 feet (1,345 square kilometres) in the Central Myanmar Basin. In September 2015, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Ltd. (PTTEP) through its subsidiary PTTEP South Asia Ltd (PTTEP SA) divested 20 percent participating interest in the onshore block in Myanmar. The government in Myanmar approved the transactions to reduce its participating interest in Block EP2 to Japan\'s Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. (MOECO) and Thailand\'s Palang Sophon Offshore Pte. Ltd., respectively. Partners in the new consortium are PTTEP SA (Operator), Win Precious Resources Pte Ltd. (WPR), MOECO ASIA PSCG Pte. Ltd. and Palang Sophon Offshore Pte Ltd.
