Project Profile
Value: Undisclosed
Location: JSW Jaigarh Port, near Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India
Area: unknown
Capacity: 8 million tons per annum
Start-up Year: -
H-Energy Gateway Private Limited (erstwhile Hiranandani Gas Company Private Limited) is setting up an LNG Regasification Terminal at Jaigarh, Maharashtra. It will be the first tolling terminal in the country offering 100% of regasification capacity to third party users. The project will foster an environment of open access and will also enhance availability of natural gas in India by providing an opportunity to end users (such as power plants, fertilizer units, oil refineries, steel plants etc.) and gas marketing companies to independently source LNG from international markets. The capacity of the plant is 8 million tons per annum and facility construction is set to commence from mid2015. The LNG terminal project is located at JSW Jaigarh Port near Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. The Port is inside the Damankul Bay off the Jaigarh head. The Damankul Bay lies between latitudes 17° 18\' 00\" and 17°,18\' 18\" North and longitudes 73° 12\' and 73° 13\' East. The Port is located 55 KM from Ratnagiri district.
The LNG terminal is designed to ensure highest uptime and provide maximum operational flexibility.
- Operating Life of Terminal - 30 years
- Capability to handle upto Qmax size vessel
- Night navigation facility for year round safe berthing operations
- Adequate breakwater for year round delivery of LNG cargoes
- Use of Gas Engines for captive power generation
- 4 bays for truck loading with provision for future expansion
- Heat Integration with JSW Energy Power Plant
H-Energy shall operate the LNG terminal on a tolling basis, which will be the first of its kind in the country. In this model, the customers will reserve regasification capacity to unload, store and regasify the LNG procured from international suppliers. The terminal owner shall act as an infrastructure provider and would not have any interest in the commodity. The customers shall have the flexibility to source LNG at competitive prices and terms from worldwide sources, and use the terminal infrastructure for regasification of LNG to meet their natural gas requirement.
