Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has commenced the development of the Integrated Development of Vashishta (VA) & S1 fields. The VA & S1 fields are located 30-35 km off the Amalapuram coast in the KG Basin, off the East Coast of India, at water depths of 250 to 700 metres. The Onshore Terminal awarded to Technip is one of the critical components of the Integrated Development of VA & S1 fields. The hydrocarbons extracted from VA and S1 deep water offshore fields will be transported to the proposed onshore oil and gas terminal for processing.

Contractors:
Technip: US$125 million (€100 million) EPC contract. Technip\'s scope of work for this EPCC(2) contract includes basic design, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, inspection and testing, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the new onshore terminal facilities. Technip’s operating center in Delhi, India, will manage and execute the project, which is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2016.
McDermott and Larsen & Toubro (L&T): Contract covering the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of major subsea field infrastructure for the ONGC Vashishta and S1 Development Project. The scope of work includes supply and installation of a series of pipeline end terminations (PLETs) and in-line tee structures (ILT), a pipeline end manifold structure (PLEM), rigid jumpers and approximately 30 miles of umbilicals. The pipeline scope includes 64 miles of 14-inch dual rigid pipelines extending from the shallow water shore line to a maximum water depth of 2,300 feet. (December 2015)
GE Oil & Gas: Awarded a contract by Indian state-owned company Oil & Natural Gas Corporation to provide subsea production systems for its S1 and Vashishta development off the country’s east coast, writes Nishant Ugal. (September 2015)
- A multi-million dollar frame agreement with ONGC under which GE will provide an estimated 55 subsea wellheads over next three years for the operator’s offshore drilling campaign, in shallow to medium waters. (August, 2016)
Subcontractors:
JDR: Awarded a contract to supply subsea materials for Oil & Natural Gas Corporation’s (ONGC) Vashishta and S1 development off India’s east coast. The company won the contract from GE Oil & Gas for the provision of 12 steel tube flying leads and associated hardware for the gas field development. The tubes will be built at JDR’s facility at Hartlepool in the UK. No contract value has been disclosed. (May 2016)
