Vasai field is located in the Arabian Sea approximately 78km offshore Mumbai. Energy Maharatna Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) will take up Additional Development of its Vasai East Field in Arabian Sea. The project, scheduled to be completed by December 2018, will result in incremental Oil production of 1.83 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT) and incremental Gas production of 1.971 Billion Cubic Metres (BCM) by 2030. The field is located in western India and ONGC will drill infill wells in the field’s northern and southern flanks from two wellhead platforms, VSEB and VSEC, while also making use of facilities at the BPA/BCPA-2 process platform, following minor modifications.

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering: Contract to be responsible for engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of two wellhead platforms, subsea pipelines, and modification of existing facilities on the Heera-Panna-Bassein block of Mumbai Offshore.
Sub-contractors:
SapuraKencana TL Offshore Sdn Bhd: Subcontract from main contractor, L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited, for the additional development of the Vasai East Project in India. The company’s scope of work under the subcontract is for the installation of structures and pipelines and other subsea work at Vasai East. The work is expected to be completed in March 2016.
