The Zarghun South license is a 124 sq km Development and Production Lease located close to Quetta city in Balochistan province. Discovery well ZS-1 and ZS-2 appraisal well flowed at 17.7 MMcf/d and 15.6 MMcf/d respectively. Gas sale, gas pricing and pipeline contribution agreements are in place. GOP has promulgated Tight Gas Policy in June 2011 pursuant to which tight gas reservoirs will be eligible for estimated gas price of US$6.72/MMBtu (based on oil price of US$80/bbl). Zarghun South reservoirs have been certified as eligible for price incentive under the policy. Processing facility and related pipeline infrastructure to be completed in 2014. The reserves in the license are estimated at around 11.9 bcf (gross). July 2015 production from the Zarghun South Block is approximately 14.3 MMcf/d (Jura share 5.7 MMcf/d).
