Storage capacity: Two 160,000 cubic metre storage tanks (320,000 cubic metres)
Start-up Year: 4Q 2013 (1st phase)
Sinopec Shandong LNG Project will be constructed in two phases. Phase 1 will handle 3MMtpa of LNG. The construction and timetable for Phase Two is subject to the LNG availability and market development. Experts estimate that the Phase One LNG project will help to replace 7.533 million tons of coal annually and reduce CO2 emission by 12.13 million ton per year. The project production in phase 2 could rise to 5 million tons a year, depending on market development. A typical LNG project will import the liquid version for at least 25 years to supply a terminal, where it would then be turned back to natural gas and delivered to local power plants, residents and industrial users through gas trunklines. The project will be located in East China\'s Shandong Province. Storage capacity will be two 160,000 cubic metre storage tanks. The jetty is able to dock LNG carriers with shipping capacity ranging from 80,000 to 270,000 cubic metres. SOFREGAZ will prepare the FEED and will also provide services for detailed engineering, procurement, commissioning/start-up and training. Completion of the first phase construction is scheduled for 2013, while 2 million tons of Gas is to be supplied by PNG LNG Terminal.
