Jhal Magsi gas field is located in District Jhal Magsi Baluchistan and is a joint venture among OGDCL (56%), POL (24%), GHPL (20%), with OGDCL serving as the operator. Development project is under implementation, in which installation of dehydration/compression/ H2S removal plant is required. SSGCL will lay the 85 km gas pipeline from Jhal Magsi plant to their existing Quetta Pipeline (QPL) at MVA Shori/ Nutal.
At present 28 No’s Tender enquiries including long lead Equipment’s i.e. Amine plant, Power Generation and Dehydration Package have been floated in the press. Contract’s signed for Amine Unit, Dehydration Unit, Emergency Shut Down Valves (ESDV) & Blow Down Valves (BDV) & Wellhead Hydraulic Control Panels. Technical/ Financial Evaluation for rest of the cases is in progress. The project is expected to be completed by October, 2014 (Subject to SSGCL ability of laying the 85 km pipeline & security clearance).
