The Sara West gas field is located in District Dharki of Sindh province. Originally, the field was discovered by M/s Tullow in 1996. Sara West D&P Lease was granted to M/s Tullow (60%) and OGDCL (40%) in June 2001. Later, ownership of field was handed over to OGDCL in 2007. OGDCL has drilled two development wells. The gas contains high CO2, N2 and low heating value (85-120 BTU/SCF). 20 MMSCFD gas allocated to M/s ENGRO by ECC. Technical bids of EPCC were to be opened on 29.08.13. The majority of the prospective bidder requested for extension in bid opening / submission date. To achieve healthy competition the request approved by OGDCL, the Corrigendum issued for extension in tender submission date. The bid submission date was 22.10.2013.
