ExxonMobil is the operator of Cendrawasih block offshore Papua with a 49% stake. ExxonMobil and an affiliate of Black Gold Energy signed a Production Sharing Contract in May 2009 for the Cendrawasih Block located offshore Papua. Niko Resources later farmed-in to the block. The Cendrawasih Block comprises 4,991 square kilometres.
