Surin is located in the northwest corner of block G4/50 in the Gulf of Thailand. The prospect could hold as much as 31 MMbo. Well G4/50-5 is being drilled by the Atwood Mako (400\' ILC). Drilling to the target depth of 2124.76 metres. The objective of the well is to explore Miocene sands that are estimated to hold mean recoverable resources of 16 MMbbls of oil. If successful, the well could open the play in the Western Central sub-basin and de-risk the neighboring Ayutthaya and Buriram prospects. Salamander Energy is the operator of the prospect with 100% interest.
