Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corp., or PVEP has signed an agreement with France\'s Maurel & Prom S.A. to transfer part of its interest in the M2 Mottana Block offshore Myanmar to the French company. The two companies would cooperate to share risks and opportunities in oil and gas exploration and production. PVEP signed the production sharing contract for the M2 Mottana Block with Vietsovpetro, Eden Group and Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise in October 2008. This license is located in the Western part of the Gulf of Martaban and covers an area 9,652 km2 around 200 km South West from Rangoon. The water depth in Bock M2 is below 200 metres.

Maurel & Prom S.A.: 40% interest
Eden Group Company Limited: 15% interest
