KrisEnergy took over Tullow\'s 30% operated stake in Block 9 which includes the Bangora gas producing facility and the Lalmai discovery. Niko Resources will continue to hold a 60% interest in the block, while the remaining 10% is held by state-run Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration & Production Company. The block covers 1,770 square kilometres in the Bengal basin and the 2013 gross production from the Bangora field averaged about 100 million cubic feet of gas per day and 300 barrels of condensate per day. Tullow Oil sold off its interest to Block 9, which lies onshore Bangladesh, to Singaporean company KirsEnergy in April 2013. Tullow had sold 100% of the share capital in its subsidiary Tullow Bangladesh to KrisEnergy for US$42.35 million.
