Sanjiao-Senze CBM pipeline is a pipeline transferring gas from the Sanjiao block in Shanxi Province of China. Sino Oil and Gas Holdings commenced sales of coalbed methane (CBM) on the Sanjiao-Senze CBM pipeline in January 2013. The Sanjiao project is jointly developed by Orion Energy International, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Sino Oil and Gas Holdings and its PRC partner, China National Petroleum Corporation.
The pipeline was built and funded by a private enterprise in Shanxi Province to support the gas consumption requirements of Senze Coal & Aluminum Group. Senze Coal & Aluminum Group is mainly engaged in the production of alumina and flame resistant material. Anticipating a strong demand from this client, the pipeline has an annual design gas delivery capacity of 350 million cubic metres.
The Sanjiao - Senze pipeline, along with Sino Oil + Gas\' Hedong pipeline, accounted for 92.7% of piped gas sales during 2015, with industrial customers representing 92.7% of sales. The Sanjiao block produced 59.34 bcm during 2015, up from 42.78 bcm one year ealier.
