Lundin Petroleum has secured a new production sharing contract off Malaysia for the Block PM319. The company signed a deal with Petronas to gain an 85% interest in the block, covering around 8,400 square kilometres off Peninsular Malaysia. Petronas Carigali, a subsidiary of the state-run company, holds the remaining 15%. Lundin has committed to drill one exploration well, shoot 550 square kilometres of 3D seismic and carry out a full tensor gravity survey over the block, where a number of leads have been identified by 2D data. The permit is located west of Block PM307, where the same partnership has scored drilling success with the appraisal of the Bertam oilfield and the Tembakau-1 gas discovery.

Contractors:
Barakah Offshore Petroleum Berhad (through its subsidiary PBJV Group Sdn Bhd): Contract with Lundin Petroleum to provide hook-up, commissioning and topside maintenance services for Lundin’s offshore oil and gas fields in Malaysia. The value of the contract will depend on the work order to be issued by Lundin for the duration of the contract. The contract duration is from 14 August 2014 to 4 February 2016
