Development of Gauri field is completed and is on commercial production from 2nd April 2004. It has cumulatively produced 63 BCF of gas up to March 2011. In a recent development, gas production from Gauri Field has been augmented using neighboring JV facilities. This is first of its kind of gas-balancing arrangement production operation in India. Oil production form Gauri field started in mid-2005 whereby one gas well was converted into an oil well and also one new well for both oil & gas was drilled. Cumulative production of comingled crude oil from Gauri Field was 2.65 MMBO up to March 2011. The CB-OS/2 block is located in the shallow waters of the Cambay Basin on the west coast of India. Four notable discoveries have been made on the block - Lakshmi, Gauri, CBX and Ambe. Three of these, Gauri, Lakshmi and CBX, have been commercialised. The initial development of the CB-OS/2 block focused on the Lakshmi and Gauri gas fields. The oil-bearing formations in these fields were developed in 2007.
