The Ubon field sits in Contract 4, which hosts the large Pailin field in Blocks Bs 12/27 and G7/50. The Ubon project has so far avoided the spotlight while Chevron and its main co-venturer PTTEP have concentrated on bringing the large Platong II and Greater Bongkot South projects on stream. Production is around 387 MMcf/d (11 MMcm/d) of natural gas and 17,528 b/d of condensate, with a total proved and probable reserves (2P) of 461 MMboe (recorded in 2015).
