Project Profile

Value: Undisclosed
Location: South Sumatra basin, Indonesia
Reserves: 1,436 Bcf of prospective resource and 2,713 Bcf of Original-Gas-In-Place
Area: 983 km2
Start-up Year: -

The Muralim block is located in the South Sumatra basin covering an area of 983 km2. In December 2010, Dart Energy in partnership with Medco Energy, signed a 30-year PSC for the Muralim block. The participating interest is shared between Dart and Medco with 50% each, with Dart acting as operator. The South Sumatra basin is a major coal, oil and gas producing region. Net coal thickness are generally in the range of 20-35 metres with some individual coal seams known to be greater than 20 metres. Coal rank is sub-bituminous with vitrinite reflectance of 0.30 to 0.35, which bodes well for CBM potential.

The Muralim block is proximate to the Tanjung Enim block, Dart Energy\'s other operated block in South Sumatra, in addition to the South Sumatra - West Java pipeline. Current conventional gas fields supplying both South Sumatra and the export pipeline are in decline and it is anticipated that CBM may be an available source of supply to replace or supplement declining conventional reserves. In 2011, Dart received regulatory approval from the Government of Indonesia for the planned four-well core hole program. Drilling will commence by second half of 2012 and subject to results, will be followed by four pilot wells. Netherland, Sewell & Associates Inc has completed a resource certification for the Muralim block and estimates 1,436 Bcf of prospective resource and 2,713 Bcf of Original-Gas-In-Place as at 31 December 2011.
