Jilin oil field is an oil field located in Songyuan district, in the western plain of Jilin province, China. Its exploration and development cover the southern Songliao Plain and Yitong River basin within Jilin province. Its oil production exceeds 7 million tonnes per year and is ranked as No.9 among the land-based Chinese oilfields. Its exploration and development cover the southern Songliao basin and Yitong basin within Jilin province. Its exploration begun in 1955.
In Jilin oilfield, an oil bearing area of 1,384.3 km2 has been proven with a proven OOIP of 7.7189×108t and a gas-bearing area of 118.9 km2 proven with a proven OGIP of 98.51×108m3. The oil production capacity of 19 oilfields under development such as Fuyu has reached over 4 ×106t/a and the refining capacity reached 7×105 t/a . In 2010, the oilfield\'s oil and gas output was 7.5 million metric tonnes.
