Rashidpur currently produces from five wells. Operator Sylhet Gas Fields, a subsidiary of state-owned giant Bangladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla), plans to add another 55 Mmcfd with three more wells.
Gazprom signed up to begin a five-well drilling programme in Bangladesh in October 2011. The drilling of Rashidpur-10 is complete while Rashidpur-12 and Rashidpur-9 wells are in the process of being drilled.
